• Hayley may be older than her sister, but she’s still a childlike bubble head with her head in the clouds. She says her career in law is just a temporary decision and that she’ll soon pursue her dream of becoming a designer. However, those who know her well doubt she’ll ever follow through, as planning ahead and Hayley McMillan just don’t go together. Even her relationship with Chris White started because she got randomly struck with jealousy of her sister, as she had her eye on Melvin Banner long before Libbie came around. Will Hayley ever realize her spontaneous actions have consequences? Who knows. But she’s sure Libbie will always have her back. Even when some stealing each other’s men is involved like it was a couple times before…

  • Libbie and Hayley recently moved into the house they grew up in after their parents passed it down to them. While Disarray Harbor may not offer the same fancy and fulfilling lifestyle they had in the city, there are still plenty of opportunities for them to reach their full potential. At least, that’s what they tell themselves to feel better about their decision. Having a whole house to themselves is definitely an upgrade from a tiny, noisy apartment in downtown, but let’s be real: the girls would have been much less hesitant about moving here if it was a colonial style mansion the suburbs of some major city…

  • People always called Victor “a little special” but he never knew what exactly they meant and whether it was a compliment or an insult. Now when he has to deal with a society that consists mostly of raging teenagers, always looking for a self confidence boost in a way of bullying someone, he starts to realize that “special” probably meant “very different’ rather than “unique”. But Vic doesn’t let that bother him. He’s happy to have only one close friend and knows what kind of life he wants to have in the future.
Definitely a different one and much more confidence filled from the one his dad has that’s for sure…

  • Despite what Dennis might say, Lorine isn’t pressuring him. She’s encouraging him to not limit himself to the small battles he has already won. She has seen the environment her husband grew up in and understands what kind of mental mess might be happening in Dennis’s head. They have talked so much about wanting another kid, but right now it’s either waiting until Victor goes to college or finding a place with some extra room so they could have enough space for all of them. Considering their positive financial situation, the second option seems like a good deal. But it seems like pushing a rock uphill seems easier than making Dennis take another big step…

  • Dennis is feeling pretty good about himself these days. He’s proud of the career he’s chosen, the fact that he’s been able to move out from his parents’ place, buy a house, and raise his kid the way he wants to. These might seem like normal decisions to some, but for Dennis, they feel like major victories. He’s the oldest of three siblings, and he’s had to deal with more criticism than his brother and sister combined. Honestly, if it wasn’t for Lorine’s support, he might still be living in his old room at his parents’ house, working some dead-end job.
But now Lorine keeps bringing up more changes, and Dennis is feeling a bit overwhelmed. He’s grateful for her support, but he needs some time to recharge before taking on anything else. He’s wondering why everyone around him seems to be pressuring him so much nowadays…

  • Dennis really seems to enjoy being the head of his own family, but it’s no secret to Lorine that despite being the most mature and achieving sibling, her husband is also the most insecure one. If it wasn’t for her encouragement, none of the major decisions he made would have ever been accomplished. It feels great to finally live separately from Dennis’s family, but with their income and resources, they could definitely afford something far greater than this tiny house. Not to mention the second child Lorine keeps bringing up, but for some reason Dennis just won’t budge and keeps hiding behind his fears of big changes…
