• Sarah finds herself at a crossroads, unsure of what to do with her life. On one hand, she’s been through thick and thin with Bailey, but lately he’s been treating her more like a doll than a wife. Then there’s Kevin, who’s kind and gentle, but hell-bent on freeing Sarah from her marriage. She wouldn’t be surprised if he challenged Bailey to a duel and as much as she’d like the problem to magically disappear, she’s not keen on getting one of her lovers killed.
Sometimes Sarah daydreams about running away with her loyal dog, Boost, who loves her unconditionally and doesn’t bring any drama. Sure, she could technically do it, but let’s be real – running away won’t solve anything, will it?

  • Bailey can clearly see what Sarah is trying to tell him: they don’t have much in common in terms of interests or views on life. But he doesn’t see that as a problem because the passion is still there. What more do you need, right? You go to work to make money and you marry someone to have a partner legally. If he needs to talk, that’s what friends and therapists are for.
So far, he’s been avoiding talking about all this nonsense, considering it a total waste of time. But he has a feeling that Sarah might bring up divorce soon, and that might make him mad because he’s not ready to let her go just yet. What is he supposed to do if she leaves? Who will take care of the house and help him relax after a tough day at work? Because what he really needs right now, with his kind of job, is some good old stress relief sessions.

  • Bailey and Sarah fancied themselves as a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde when they fled their hometown to escape some legal troubles Bailey had gotten into and ended up getting married in a hurry at a roadside church. However, after almost a year of married life, they both started to realize that maybe giving in to their sense of adventure wasn’t such a great idea. It became apparent that they couldn’t even hold a conversation for more than a minute. While one of them is putting the issue on hold and dealing with other things, the other had already taken action to try to find happiness again…

  • It appears that Kevin has a bit of a pattern in his actions: first, he rushes back to his hometown to help his dad cope with the loss of his mom, even though they haven’t really talked in years. Turns out, his dad is doing just fine on his own, despite Kevin’s doubts about the timing. Now, he’s getting involved with Sarah Tercel, thinking she needs to be rescued from her unhappy marriage and dull husband. Some might see this as a classic white knight syndrome, but Kevin is just a caring guy who enjoys helping others. Or maybe he’s just trying to justify his actions to himself and others, not wanting to admit he might have some selfish motives. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but why the act? Kevin isn’t quite sure himself, but he can’t seem to help it…

  • Richard really wishes his son would finally understand that not everyone needs to be saved. Maybe it’s a result of some childhood trauma he and his wife inflicted on Kevin, or maybe it’s something else, but the boy always seems to have this burning desire to feel needed and important. This, along with the fact that they never got along well, is exactly why they fought so much before Kevin left to pursue his career as a lawyer, still driven by the same passion to save someone.
Maybe that’s not entirely a bad thing, but sometimes he just seems to stick his nose where it doesn’t belong, especially when it comes to Richard’s new relationship. Richard is a grown man who recently lost someone very important, and the last thing he needs right now is some young guy messing around in his peaceful life. And considering what Richard has heard about who Kevin has been seeing lately, the whole situation seems a bit hypocritical, doesn’t it?

  • Richard had just started to adjust to living alone after his wife passed away, when his son Kevin unexpectedly showed up. Kevin felt compelled to take care of his lonely father and address an old argument they had before Kevin left to pursue his career. However, instead of the happy reunion they both hoped for, the house is now filled with awkward silence. Despite both of them forgetting what it was like to have each other in their lives, they couldn’t forget the hurtful words and endless fights from the past.
To make matters more complicated, Richard seemed to be getting involved in a new relationship, which Kevin isn’t quite ready to accept just yet…

  • Despite her appearance, Libbie has always been the rational one in the family and has always taken care of all the adult decisions. Moving here was a bit spontaneous, but it seemed like the smartest move considering they were on the edge of having massive debts back with their apartment in the city. Despite this place being bigger and not even a rental, the bills here are much more manageable for their pocket money. On top of that, Libbie has already made a bunch of friends here and even found herself a love interest. Whether that relationship is serious or not, only time can tell. But still, that’s already more than she was able to achieve throughout years of the constant rush of downtown living. If there’s one thing Libbie knows for sure, it’s that when things don’t go according to plan, simply change the plan and act like it was all part of the plan.
