• Beth enjoys the simple and quiet life of a housewife. Taking care of her husband and son, as well as keeping the house clean and fresh, feels like a full-time job with the payment being the happiness of her loved ones. Some women in town may find her boring, but at least she doesn’t cheat or hide a whole pregnancy from her partner. There are many things she would never do, but if someone finds joy in drama and unnecessary stress, that’s their choice.
So why does she keep adding fuel to the fire in her issue with Justin Chesterfield, which started over a minor inconvenience and is now turning into a real conflict? It’s definitely not because she enjoys the excitement of finally being involved into something spicy. That’s just silly. Although, she prefers to keep this situation a secret from Simon. He really doesn’t have to know about this…

  • Disarray Harbor: The Silvertone’s

The Silvertones are the type of folks who are always there to lend an ear, but they don’t spill much about themselves. Despite having a lot of friends in town, no one really knows too much about them. And there’s a good reason for that: they’d rather steer clear of all the drama that swirls around their neighbors. They prefer to keep to themselves, just giving a friendly wave from a distance and smiling, looking the other way when things get weird. They’re just a regular family, dealing with the never-ending project of renovating their attic.
It’s a lifestyle they’ve worked hard for, and they’ll fight to keep it this way if they have to…

  • So, I downloaded this new Sims 2 neighborhood, Disarray Harbor, on Mod The Sims by Reckless Jerry. At first I was just exploring and getting to know all the families one by one, usually not spending more than a day on each household to not mess up any possible timelines. Luckily, while there are many drama crossover’s in here, you can play a few days before things start to get out of sync. I realized I wanted to start remembering what was happening after the fifth or sixth household out of twenty that just writing it down wouldn’t be enough. Show and tell helps a lot and I figure if I’m going to take pictures, I might as well share them online. Maybe the creator themselves would find it amusing but that in itself would just be a bonus.

I figure I’ll most likely share other stories from other neighborhoods too as time goes on as well as share ideas I have for custom hoods that I’ve found impossible to design. Like a holiday/winter Christmas like “Santa Villages” I would visit in the nineties to early two-thousands. One was called Leavenworth Washington State (not to be confused with the prison in Kansas!). While the town is not technically a workshop, it is a Bavarian-styled village. I liked to wonder, what is it like here in the off season? Or what kind of drama goes on even during the busiest time of the year? Is the actor playing Santa having a secret affair with one of the “elves”? For shame Santa! What about the other workers? Toys have to be built, gift shops to be ran, coco sold, ice skating and Christmas tree lightings galore! In total I think about creating this into three parts: a regular neighborhood, a sub neighborhood and a vacation spot to play without all the drama. But I struggle with designing a mountain terrain layout as it is let alone to start building the lots and creating the households. So for me, all of this and other neighborhoods just remain in my head until I jot them down on here and maybe someone will be inspired to take the project on.

As far as Disarray Harbor goes, I did jump in and play a handful of stories with their own timeline within their household so I’ll have to write a handful of those without pictures. But for the rest, thanks for being here and checking out this blog!
