Alaina waited until the next morning to tell Ray about the baby. She wanted to look her most glowing radiant self so she took a shower while he played some computer games.

She called Ray over from the living room. It took him awhile to pause his game but, eventually he stopped and came over. Alaina turned off the TV and put his hand on her belly. “Look,” she said. “I’m pregnant, we’re going to have a baby!” Ray was silent. “Aren’t you happy?” She asked him when he didn’t respond.
“Are you keeping it?” he asked.
“What do you mean, of course I am. Why would you ask that? ” Alaina replied, surprised.
“Because it’s hard enough for people not to gossip about that you were the other woman in my marriage,” he said harshly. “What do you think everyone will think now? We’re unmarried at that too!”
“Oh….” Alaina said dejectedly. “I didn’t think about that.”
“It’s okay,” Ray said. “We’ll talk about this more a little later.” Ray left and went into the bathroom. He stomped his feet in fury. How could she get herself pregnant! She must have done this on purpose to trap me.

Ray took a shower and walked back out to the living room a little while later. Alaina was there waiting for him. She pulled him into a kiss. “You know, we could just get married,” she said. “You were my protector against the burglar and we fell in love. No one’s to know the wiser or to have any other reason to think so. You do… love me right?”
He could see that she was on the verge of tears and caved. He hated when women cried and even more so at the idea of him being the reason they cry. “Of course I do and you’re absolutely right. Let’s get married.”
They didn’t have a ceremony and instead just sent over the paperwork to city hall. While Alaina grinned from ear to ear for now being Mrs. Mason, Ray on the other hand was really regretting this decision already.
Their wedding day was not your typical newly wed day, even for an elopement. Alaina’s shoulders and back were achey all over from being pregnant and all she wanted to lay down and sleep. Ray on the other hand, was pouting. He told himself that he was doing the right thing but it didn’t feel like that to him.
Ray stood up, “You know, I think I’m going to go see a movie later at Donnie’s place for a boy’s night. I think he’ll be happy to hear the news too.” Alaina agreed, too tired to have gone with Ray to hangout with her bestie Daria anyway.
But it wasn’t Donnie who he called from the bedroom. “Hey Daria? Are you free tonight? Alaina and I were supposed to go dancing,” Ray lied smoothly through his teeth. “But she isn’t feeling very well.”
“Sounds great!” said Daria.

Ray drove off to pick her up and Daria felt mildly awkward at first. Some how this felt wrong but she couldn’t pin point why. It wasn’t like this was a date… was it? Alaina was her best friend after all. But once they arrived outside the club the tension eased as they got to know one another better.
They danced for hours late into the night. The music was loud as the beat thumped and vibrated in the dance floor. Daria was surprised at how good of a dancer Ray was that she completely lost track of time.

“You have the feet of a goddess,” Ray said to her. It didn’t exactly make sense in context (two charisma skill points here people) but Daria was swept up with the flattery all the same. Ray never looked hotter in her life.

“We should do this again” he whispered into her ear.
“I can hardly wait,” she replied, her heart racing loudly in her chest.

He pulled her into a romantic kiss and then made his way down her arm along the nerves so it tingled. He would leave it here… for now. If more were to happen, it needed to come from her. With the morning light rising, he said goodbye and headed home.
Ray came home so late in fact that he missed his carpool. So instead he drove on by the house and straight to work.

Alaina had spent her night differently. Now that she was the new Mrs. Mason, she wanted to talk to the old Mrs. Mason. The best foot forward was to unite the two households as amicably as possible, to further dispel any rumors. If Alaina and Mandy were friends, how could she possibly have ever been the other woman? It was a long shot but she wanted to try. She told Mandy about the baby and how important family dynamics were. It didn’t cement their bond into a friendship yet but it was a step in the right direction.
Ray drove slowly into the driveway, unsure how upset Alaina would be for staying out all night and not even coming home till after work. She on the other hand, was fast asleep. Ray slowly got out of his car, and then so did his teammate, Libbie McMillian. She wasn’t as far in her career as Ray was but he promised to show her some “moves” at home.
Ray quickly put together one of those basketball hoops that you find online (through the buy mode category) just in case Libbie was actually trying to practice with him. In the mean time, he sent her over to talk to his wife. In any case Alaina needed, and wanted, more female friends to raise her popularity within the neighborhood. And if a couple of those girl’s might want to fool around on the side, then all the better.
But Libbie couldn’t bring herself to find anything Alaina said worthwhile or remotely interesting. “I’m going to find Ray to practice,” Libbie said. She found him in the bathroom gussying himself up. She leaned in and said, “What kind of cologne is that? It smells really good.”
One thing lead to another and well… you can see what happened. Thankfully (Or not so thankfully) Alaina was sleeping and didn’t have to witness her husband’s infidelity first hand.
“Donnie, bro!” Ray said as the light was fading into dusk. He pulled Donnie into a big bear hug and clapped him on the back. “I’m actually really glad to have run into you.” The woohoo with Libbie was over with but she was still hanging around, hoping to actually practice shooting hoops. Ray felt like he needed to be careful what he said around Donnie as he knew that Donnie was also Alaina’s best friend. Bro’s should be before well… you know but Ray has always been a little suspicious that Don’s intentions might swing the other way if an opportunity arised .
“I’m glad to see you too,” Donnie said. They fell into talking about the weather.
Ray really didn’t feel like practicing and instead went to workout on the elliptical. Libbie did so she went outside anyway to shoot some hoops. Hearing the sound of the ball beat on the ground, Donnie walked over to watch. This also woke up Alaina but she didn’t complain. She assumed it was Ray and just went to read more about arts and crafts online.
Donnie and Libbie on the other hand cemented their friendship. “Did we just become best friends?!” they said excitedly in unison. Donnie also said hello to Alaina before he left to see how she was doing.
The next morning there wasn’t much to say. Ray scrubbed the counters which had become filthy. He wasn’t the neatest person himself when it came to cleanliness but he didn’t like to see it get this bad either. What was Alaina thinking?! She on the other hand was inspired by what she read online and took up to the easel.
It was about mid afternoon when Alaina gave birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl named Stephanie. Ray was worried at first at the idea of a home birth but here we were.
“Aren’t you going to come over and see the baby?” she asked.
“I’m good,” Ray replied as he went to go lay down.
Alaina thought he surely must be joking right? He didn’t want to hold or see his new born daughter? Was he upset that it was yet another girl and not a boy? Would that have made a difference? But Alaina didn’t care. She snuggled that baby closely, kissed it’s bald head, and whispered “Don’t you worry, you are going to be so loved.”
This might surprise most viewers, but Alaina didn’t want to use her maternity leave. It might be because she could feel her next promotion was so close within her grasp that she didn’t want to let any opportunity slip by. It could be that she didn’t want to spend more time around Ray. It could be both. Ray didn’t seem to protest.

Instead Ray picked up the phone. Yes, he was calling another woman, but not the one you might think. The reason why Ray was so hesitant to see his new daughter was, he still felt so guilty about his older one. He always meant to try and make amends with Melanie but so much had happened in so little time that it just slipped his mind. “Would you like to come over?” he asked. “There are a million other things I would rather do instead,” Melanie replied.

He hung up the phone and went over to the crib. He picked up Stephanie and held her. Had she even eaten? As he fed her, he knew was that he was going to fix his relationship with Melanie and not mess up his second chance with Stephanie.
Ray went to bed peacefully knowing that he had a plan. The baby slept as well with a very full belly.

That ends Chapter Three! I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it. We have one more chapter left each for the Mason’s and Markovich households. After that we move onto The Banner’s! There is still so much more to explore in Disarray Harbor that we’ve barely scratched the surface.
Once again, thank you to RecklessJerry for their creating the neighborhood. And if you play the Sims 2 and want to download the neighborhood, you can do so Here.
I have no official schedule as of yet for when new chapter’s will be coming out except at least once a week. If I have extra free time there will be more chapters. So if you enjoy this, consider subscribing and you’ll be notified when they post. Please note that you will also get other notifications when I post information about other character’s and information about lots. This may be confusing to see a dozen or so other non story related emails but I still recommend checking those out too so you’ll have more background information about the story.
Until Next Time!
